On 11th of November 2019 the kick-off meeting of the research project MixEd Reality and GeoINformatics for MOnument DEmonstration (Acronym: Mergin’ Mode) took place. The meeting was held in Geosense premises and Tessera, as Project Coordinator, as well as all partners agreed on the project implementation and the deliverables.
Mergin’ Mode is about the development of a cultural information system aiming to demonstrate monuments by merging real with virtual, in a Mixed Reality, assisted by Geoinformation technologies.
Project duration: 30 months, starting from 11th of October 2019.

The consortium is consisted by:
- Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki Region, Ministry of Culture & Sports
- Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering, International Hellenic University
- School of History and Archeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
- GeoSense, company activating in drones and in the surveying technology
- Tessera Multimedia, Project Coordinator that activates in the Information and communications technology (ICT) sector (web, mobile and multimedia applications).
The project is implemented under the specific action ‘Open Innovation in Culture’ and is co- financed by the European Union and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation” (EPAnEK)
